I read Oh Dear Silvia because I love, love, love Dawn French. I was curious and at the end, I was impressed. The book is about Silvia who is in a coma and is visited by family and friends. Through them, secrets and different versions of Silvia come to the surface. Who is really Silvia? How did really she fell into a coma?
Oh Dear Silvia was an enjoyable read and traits of Dawn French are there in the writing. It’s amazing that the story takes a serious turn here and there as well, leaving the reader wondering if it’s partially a crime novel. One thing I have to criticise is the number of characters.
